Don’t Let Lung Cancer Go Undiagnosed
Lung cancer can go undiagnosed for a long time because many of its symptoms can be mistaken for other health issues like pneumonia, allergies or even a common cold. And many people with lung cancer don’t even have symptoms until the disease is in its later stages.
Symptoms can include:
- A cough that doesn’t go away or gets worse over time
- Constant chest pain
- Shortness of breath or wheezing
- Frequent lung infections
- Coughing up blood
Other less-obvious symptoms may include:
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite
- Bone pain or fractures
- Blood clots
If you have been experiencing symptoms like these for a long time, have been exposed to environmental factors like radon or air pollution, or live a high-risk lifestyle by smoking, talk to your doctor about being screened for lung cancer.
